Is that a beaver on the horizon? Yes. Yes it is. Welcome to Texas. http://instagr.am/p/K3ZUmhKsq_/
A beacon of hope for all Texan roadtrips.
“And me, I still believe in paradise. But now at least I know it’s not some place you can look for, ‘cause it’s not where you go. It’s how you feel for a moment in your life when you’re a part of something, and if you find that moment… it lasts forever…”
Grentry Nation: Believing (Journey pun intended, haha)! Quitting is NEVER an option if you have dreams.

As some of you (probably none of you) may know, Dayton traveled to Iowa in the first round of the NIT this year. Being of a competitive nature, of course I made a bet with Iowa fan and future daddy Matt LaCasse. Loser has to write a blog post praising the other team’s athletic prowess.
I lost. Dayton traveled to Iowa City and, in true Dayton Flyer fashion, lost 84-75 on the road. Here is my end of the bet.
I was stumbling through my RSS reader when I found this older post from my friend Allison’s blog today. Something about it really resonated with me, and the title is fitting, because I did find this at the perfect time.
I’ve been job searching for what feels like eons now, and this post just reminded me to never doubt myself, and not to give up. Definitely something I needed to hear this morning.
Allison is a student at Miami University in Ohio, currently studying in Hong Kong, her blog is the perfect place to see awesome pictures, get a laugh, and gain some perspective.
RIP Joe Paterno.
RIP JoePa. Not a Penn Stater, but he set an example for all of us.

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

”So often we deprive ourselves of the silly things because they’re frivolous or ridiculous, but it’s those very things that we remember as golden moments in our lives.
